Hello brides, grooms, brides-to-be, grooms-to-be, bridal parties, married couples, anyone associated with weddings!  This blog is dedicated to Weddings!  I am getting married at the end of this year and as a bride-to-be, never knew of all the details involved in planning a wedding and everything else that goes with it like bachelorette parties and wedding showers.  There are so many resources to help you plan and give ideas that the options are endless.  Here, I hope to share with you my own experience, things I’ve learned along the way and things I’ve picked up from others.

Themed Weddings – Travel theme

I’ve been toying with the idea of having a travel themed wedding – Journey in Love.  My fiance and I love to travel the world and what better way than to express our love and interests through some personal touches of travel in our wedding.  The only thing is that I want just accents of this theme, nothing to over power the wedding.

I have already made some cute cards to ask my bridal party to be in my wedding.  (And they have all said Yes!)  In addition to this card, I added a luggage tag as a small gift with Journey In Love displayed in the tag.

For the actual wedding, I have considered:

• Passport-like programs for the church ceremony
• Luggage tags for escort cards
• Photos of us around the world in frames as Table Numbers, or in this case, Table Locations
• PaperCinemas mobile flip book studio. Flipbooks with airplane themed cover as the wedding favors

So far, that is all that I can come up with.  I will have to give it some more thought and see if I can come up with any clever ideas or find inspiration from others to incorporate this theme into my wedding.  Let me know if you have any ideas!
