Santa Monica, California

During my home visit to Chicago this past Christmas, I did a stop over in Santa Monica, California to visit my brother and his family.  The timing was just right because I was able to attend my nephews 2nd Birthday.  My sister-in-law went all out on his Elmo themed birthday.  It was just amazing.  The night before the party, we stayed up making Elmo cupcakes to match all the other decorations she had purchased.  There was Elmo everywhere.

Now in retrospect, I thought how awesome it would have been to have our flip books as the invitations.  All her other details to this party was just perfect and memorable.  Having a flip book invitation would fit right in!

Here’s a simple but yet effective cover for a kid’s birthday invitation.  And maybe inside could have been my nephew being silly and playing with Elmo.  The last page inside would contain the details of the invitation.  Maybe next year we can do something for his 3rd Birthday.
